CompAir L Variable Speed (VS) Compressors
Typically air demand in the working environment
varies widely throughout the day. The L_VS series of
variable speed compressors are able to precisely
match power consumption with the system air demand,
offering outstanding efficiency and reliability. The
L_VS drive system offers soft starting with smooth
and controlled acceleration and deceleration,
reducing the stress on both the electrical and
mechanical components. The ability of maintaining
air system pressure at an exact pre set level
eliminates the need to operate within pressure
bands, enhancing efficiency even further.
Airsmart TM Control System
L11VS - L18VS compressors are simple to use, thanks
for the new and advanced AirSmart controller.
You don't need to be an expert on variable speed
drives to operate the CompAir L_VS compressors.
the controller takes care of the details. It
automatically adjusts the compressor performance to
meet your changing air system demands and saves your
energy costs. AirSmart control systems also

Communication and Sequencing
The optional communication module allows the
AirSmart units to talk to each other. This
isn't just an hour-balancing, on/off sequencing
function. Our controller allows the system to
truly optimise the efficiency because it knows the
capabilities of the other machines and controls
their operation. The communication module also
allows remote monitoring of the L_VS and fixed speed
units, providing better energy efficiency in part
load operation.
Maximum Flexibility
Thanks to the new highly functional AirSmart TM
control system, the new L11VS - L18VS series allows
you to choose any delivery pressure from 3 to 10 bar
or from 10 to 13 bar depending on the model.
Options include the integrated refrigerant dryer,
condensate handling equipment and a wide selection
of compressed air filters. These options are
available to enable you to build a complete
compressor station for your needs.
Low Noise Level
The sound-engineered enclosure of L11VS - L18VS
absorbs noise effectively. The package is so
quiet, that is can be installed exactly where it is
needed without any special consideration for noise.
This seriesis simply a smart design with high
quality parts. Quiet fan, segregated cooling
air flow, plus motor and air end are isolated to
prevent noise transmission.
Superb Regulation Range
Flexibility comes as standard with the L_VS series.
Wtih a 15-100% capacity range, the L_VS series
features quick and wide response to air demand
changes.

0.25 bar less. Pressure dew point of integrated
dryer at reference conditions : +3oC.
Reference conditions : intake air temperature for
dryer : +35oC, ambient temperature: +25oC. For
13 bar model, maximum target pressure is 12.8 bar
with unload limit 13 bar.
2) Capacity and Power measurements according to
ISO 1217, ed. 3, Annex C - 1996 test code and the
following working pressures are used : 7.5 bar
models at 7 bar, 10 bar models at 9 bar and 13 bar
models at 12 bar.
3) Noise values determined according to ISO 2151;
Tolerance ±3dB(A).
